Girls with Grit Collective

GWG Collective is for the community, it’s for women and it’s goal is to get more ladies out mountain biking, skiing, trail running, hiking, stand up paddle boarding, dirt biking, climbing, fly fishing and beyond — AND it’s purpose is to create a community where women can meet other women through adventure and can inspire one another along the way.

JOIN THE ADVENTURE

How will we fulfill this goal?

Through meet-ups led by our owner and head coach, Shannon + her amazing crew of coaches as well as other guides, coaches and organizations that we will be partnering with for each individual activity.

These events will not be clinics, but will have coaches and knowledgeable individuals at each one to answer questions you may have as well as get you dialed in on our route and adventure plan for the day.

Refreshments and snacks will always be available at each one and GWG + other sponsor swag will be given out for the most inspirational guest at the end of each event.

Fees + Inclusivity

  • For our first month of these events, our fee will be waived (say what?!), but we will suggest a donation to our current 100K for $100K fundraiser.

***Keep in mind that events at business locations may have their own fee for entrance/use of equipment.

  • ALL levels and abilities are welcome at these events. From beginners to seasoned adventurers, we want these events to be inclusive and inspire women of all walks of life and backgrounds to help each other be the best versions of ourselves that we can be.

Upcoming GWG Collective Events

  • July 31st :: GWG Collective Ladies Trail Run + Hike at Little Bald Mountain (location pending permit) :: 7am-2pm :: In partnership with Red Bull USA Coast to Coast Strava Challenge :: Join us for 1-22 miles as we hike, jog and gallop (yep, that's okay too!) on this beautiful multi-use trail near Chinook Pass off of Highway 410 -- breathtaking views + wildflowers are just some of the highlights on this 410 favorite. Along with refreshments, we'll also have extra special swag for participants from Red Bull as we partake in their goal to run, hike or walk from coast to coast.
  • August 2nd :: GWG Collective Women’s Monthly Climb Night at High Steppe Climbing Center :: 6pm-8pm :: Whether you are a seasoned climber or have never climbed more than a flight of stairs, you’ll love this new monthly event. From 6-7pm, we’ll open climb — coaches will offer guidance to new climbers as well as tips for you to advance your skills. From 7-8pm, Shannon will lead anyone who would like to join in a lower body + core workout for those that would like to join!
  • August 3rd :: GWG Collective Women's MTB Shred :: 5pm-7pm :: In coordination with our local Evergreen MTB chapter, we'll be riding on the flow-filled + fun Soup Creek trail. We will be pedaling up the road, so bring layers for the ascent and ready to shreddy layers for the descent as well. This will be a free event with a "donation appreciated" to our local Cowlitz/Naches Evergreen Chapter.
  • August 10th :: GWG Collective Women's Mt. Constitution Run/Hike :: 7am-10am :: Join Shannon + Katelin for a run or hike up to the top of Mt. Constitution on beautiful Orcas Island. This will be a free event with a donation appreciated to our 100K for $100K fundraiser.
  • September 3rd :: GWG Collective Women's Yakima River SUP :: 9am-12pm :: We'll meet up at Roza to get dialed with the shuttle rigs and then head up river to Umtanum Creek to drop into the Yakima River. A coffee stop at Red's Fly Shop + Canyon River grill is an option, but beach side hang out sessions are definitely a must for this morning paddle/float. Keep in mind that we will not be supplying any free gear or coaching for this event, so please be prepared for being on the river -- mind + body. If you'd like to take a clinic or lesson from us, please sign up for one separately from this event. We will have a few boards + paddles + pfds for rent for this event, so if you are interested in renting any gear, please contact Shannon.
