Whether you are training for a race or just focusing on being the healthiest individual that you can be, we'll help you set your goals, reach them and then set that bar higher.
Girls with Grit Whidbey Island Adventure Trail Run + Yoga
Join Shannon Mahre and her coaches for a 12 mile trail run through the the beautiful trails on Whidbey Island.
August 5th -- 8am-2pm :: Our trail run will be followed by a mellow yoga session, appetizers (and going over your training plans created by Shan) as well as happy hour + swag bags.
*** We'll be running at Deception Pass State Park -- I can't wait to share this beautiful spot with you all!
TRAIL RUNNING + Macro (Nutrition) + FITNESS CLINICS
Join coach Shannon Mahre for a day of trail running (with some hiking on the uphills, too!), learning and fun in the beautiful Yakima area. We'll start the day off at the trailhead of the Yakima Skyline Trail where we will embark on our running adventure (we'll walk the uphills and jog the flats and downhills). Afterwards, we'll head to Canyon River Ranch to enjoy Canyon River Grill's gourmet box lunches river side. Post-lunch, Shannon will take you through your take-home body-weight strength workouts and then through a yoga for runners session. After this last little workout sesh, we'll enjoy happy hour on the lawn as Shannon goes over over your nutrition & endurance training plans (distances vary on your personal goals --- choose from 5K-50 miler running or walk/running) and she'll answer any questions you may have.
2022 Trail Run, Fitness & Nutrition Schedule
April 29th - Yakima Skyline Trail Selah Loop (9 miles - 1800 ft vert) - 8am-2pm
September 30th - Yakima Skyline Trail Selah Loop + Gracie Point (12 miles - 3,000ft vert) - 8am-2pm
Guided trail run, gourmet box lunch from Canyon River Grill, happy hour beverages, take-Home Macro Training, Body Weight Workout & Yoga for Trail Running Workout & a Training Plan for either a half marathon, a full marathon or a 50K.
Summer of Adventure Women's Day Camps
Our day will begin with morning yoga, coffee & snacks on the lawn at Canyon River Ranch. Once everyone is nice and relaxed, we'll head out on a hike or trail run (The June 17th camp and the July 15th camp are the trail run and the July 8th camp is the hike) on the nearby, absolutely spectacular Umtanum Creek Falls Trail or the Skyline Trail.
After seeing some of the most spectacular views in our area, we'll head to a private lake in the Yakima river canyon where we will enjoy gourmet box lunches from Canyon River Grill. Post lunch, we will help you hone your skills & build your confidence on the paddle board and relax lake side — swimming is also recommended!
A late afternoon yoga sesh under the shade of a willow tree by the lake will round out the day -- then it's happy hour time while Shannon goes over your nutrition & endurance training plans (distances vary on your personal goals --- choose from 5K-50 miler running or walk/running) and she'll answer any questions you may have. A fun and FULL day of adventure and fun, for sure!!!
Join Shannon for a beautiful morning hike on the Umtanum Creek Trail in the Yakima river canyon. With a focus on motivation, setting goals and the creation of a fitness aspect that is organically added into the hike, you'll find yourself enjoying the sites while setting the groundwork for the next step in your wellness journey. After our hike, we will drive down the road to Canyon River Grill + Red's Fly Shop to enjoy a beverage from their coffee bar while we embark on our yoga journey river side.
